Trivian joins to OpenStreetMap. Say hi to 6 million places!

OSMFor last few months we have been thinking how to get more places to Trivian. We studied Google, Nokia and plenty of other places APIs but none of them provided with the flexibility that Trivian required. Eventually OpenStreetMap pops up and soon we realized OpenStreetMap is the way to go. We are not alone there. Many location-based games like Foursquare is using OpenStreetMap, already.

Now, we have around 6 million places and counting weekly. We hope you like them. Stay tuned, lots of cool questions will soon show up to all 6 million places!

Trivian is now on Facebook!

Trivian, an exiciting social trivia gaming is now available on Facebook. Now onwards Facebook users can also be a player of Trivian without even signing up, their Facebook account details will be used to create and login to Trivian account. Facebook users can also add Trivian to their fan pages as well as can send their friends request to play Trivian.

Trivian backend api is developed using PHP, Python and database is in MongoDB, but api is not open for public use yet. The frontend clients for trivian could be any web browser or any
mobile platform. Currently there is iOS and Symbian releases available for Trivian from the respective app stores.
